'Nowhere near enough' youth workers to address issues behind Victoria's teen crime problem - (ABC News/03.02.17)

Victoria's high youth reoffending rate should be tackled by providing back-up for "overwhelmed" outreach workers, according to sector advocates.

Statistics show that while the overall number of young offenders is dropping, a small group is continuing to commit serious crimes.

The Youth Support and Advocacy Service (YSAS) is one of the state's largest employers of youth workers specialising in substance abuse and early intervention.
