YSAS Resources

The Centre for Youth AOD Research and Practice is an initiative of Youth Support + Advocacy Service (YSAS). YSAS has been a key player and leader in the Youth AOD sector for many years. They have added to the culture and development of the sector in many different ways.

YSAS has developed the following online resources and educational opportunities:

Youth AOD Toolbox – This toolbox provides practitioners in the youth AOD field with reliable and current information to help to increase their knowledge and enrich their practice.

The Youth AOD Learning Hub - The Youth AOD Learning Hub provides practitioners with a structured, guided course through the skills and knowledge necessary to be effective in Youth AOD practice. The Hub courses are free and online, designed with busy practitioners in mind. The courses are developed from evidence-informed practice knowledge, and are especially focused on the topics often encountered when supporting young people with problematic substance use.

The Hub is supported by the Victorian Government Department of Health & Human Services.

Out of Home Care Toolbox- The OoHC Toolbox provides easily accessible and effective information for the supporters and carers of young people (12 - 18) in out of home care.

Young Parents Toolbox - The Young Parents AOD Toolbox provides easily accessible and effective information for the supporters and carers of young families and substance use.

YoDAA -  YoDAA is a supportive website allowing families/ careers, workers, young people and schools access to drug and alcohol information, support and advice online.  At present YoDAA does not run a phone or email support service. If you wish to speak with someone please contact YSAS.
