Statewide Youth Needs Census 2013
The Statewide Youth Needs Census (SYNC) identified the needs and characteristics of young people registered as clients of specialist youth AOD treatment services in Victoria. The study was conducted by YSAS in partnership with Turning Point and Victorian youth alcohol and other drug (AOD) treatment services.
Youth AOD practitioners from 38 locations across Victoria completed surveys on each of their clients registered on June 6, 2013. Over 1000 valid surveys were and were completed, representing 84% of the young people in treatment on Census day. A full technical report and a range of issue-based snapshots using SYNC data is available.
